Would you like to generate a secondary earning certificate for an employee? This article explains where and how to create it.
The secondary earnings certificate is used to determine whether an employee is eligible for benefits in cases of secondary employment (especially during ongoing unemployment), and whether and to what extent additional earnings must be offset against those benefits.

Go to the headline menu and select Notifications, then Certificates. A list of all previously created certificates will be displayed (if available).

To create a new certificates, click Add. You can choose from the following certificate types:
- Employment certificate (Section 312 SGB III)
- EU employment certificate (Section 312a SGB III)
- Secondary earnings certificate (Section 313 SGB III)

After selecting Secondary earnings certificate (Section 313 SGB III), a new form will open.
Select in Step 01: General the relevant employee and define the certificate period.
You will see the following message: "All personal and company data is prefilled from master data. Please verify that all information is correct and complete."

Click Next to continue to Step 02: Employee. Employee data is prefilled and can be reviewed.

Enter or review the required information in the following sections:
- Step 03: Compensation
- Step 04: Employment
- Step 05: Contribution liability
- Step 06: Submission details
Many fields are prefilled by the system. Any additional required fields must be completed manually.
The form is dynamic, meaning the available fields may change depending on your input.

After completing all required fields, click Submit. A confirmation message will appear indicating that the certificate has been successfully submitted.

The certificate will be available under Certificates > Outgoing. Click the certificate to view its notification details or use the three-dot menu to download the notification certificate.
Notice
The system does not allow submitting duplicate certificates with identical data. If you attempt to do so, a system message will be displayed. If corrections are required, you can create and submit a new certificate with updated information.
